Southport TV are event organizers and social content creators, we specialise in creating professional video content and help local businesses look their best in the digital stratosphere. Our MD Mark Pickup has 20 years of digital content creation and marketing experience under his belt and has held Commercial and Creative Director roles working for such brands as Time Out, Conde Nast Traveller, Hello! Magazine, Mixmag, Max Power.... to name a small few. 

He has organised over 100+ events from club nights to festivals and from awards evenings to charity dinners. When he is not organising events he is peforming at them and during a 25 year DJ career he has played all over the world. Back in the day he was resident locally at such clubs as Zebra Square, Club Code & Bar Non and more recently has played for such global brands such as Unite With Tomorrowland, Creamfields, Pacha, Cafe Del Mar, Blue Marlin as well as performed with such global icons as Jamiroquai, The Prodigy, Disclosure, The Chemical Brothers, Chic feat Nile Rogers, Faithless, The Brand New Heavies and dozens more.

 

​No stranger to being in front of the camera as well as behind it, whether it is hosting awards and events or interviewing people, he has also appeared in Star Wars 7 in the Jakku Market opening scene of 'The Force Awakens'. Along with his wife Mel who played the bounty hunter Athgar Heece, they are the only married couple ever to appear in the same Star Wars movie together so rest assured you are in very experienced filming hands. 

Southport TV are on a mission to drastically improve the entertainment in Southport and bring house hold names to the town and with our local partners have already executed such events as Southport Disco Festival, Ice Skating Southport, Oktoberfest Southport, SMILE!, Vegas In The Park and have many more in the pipeline.
