From Bren and Val Riley of The Southport Comedy Festival...
In light of the current increase in Coronavirus infection rates, we have taken the decision to postpone this year’s Southport Comedy Festival. We have spoken to all of the comedians who are happy to try to reschedule their shows so please hold onto your tickets for now. We are looking at the end of November as a possible window to reschedule as long as it is safe to do so.
In the event of a total cancellation of the Festival or if you are unable to make the rescheduled dates you will be able to get a refund on the face value of the tickets. Purchasers of tickets will receive further information from our ticket agents, Skiddle, in their email inbox shortly.
We will work closely with Sefton Environmental Health and will monitor the situation over the next couple of weeks.
We are extremely disappointed to have to make this decision, the amount of work we have put in planning this year’s Festival and trying to make it work in the current climate is difficult to quantify. The support we have received from the public and our fantastic sponsors has been overwhelming, however we feel that everyone’s safety has to come first and we hope you understand. Val and Bren
